David and his awesome giraffe puppet

- David Hyde Costello
The whole school was invited to hear and see David Hyde Costello share his books and his amazing giraffe puppet with the children. He spent time reading his three books, sharing his giraffe puppet, answering questions and talking about his illustrations with the kids. They were truly fascinated and the kids asked some great questions. What a fun day! You can get his books at the Toadstool bookstore where he had a signing this past weekend.

Everyone Loves PJs and Bedtime Buddies!
The kids (okay, AND the teachers) were so excited to wear their pj’s to school and share their bedtime buddies with friends. Even Lloyd the letter Llama and Mrs Lydon took time to do the waltz and embrace the neverending morning. I wonder if anyone will put on their clothes today OR if they will go straight to bed tonight?

Architectural Design
Elective courses at ELCM include architectural design and civil engineering. :-) The kids love making gingerbread houses before they go home for the holidays. It’s a great time to “snack and build” the future.

We have been watching the hungry caterpillars eat through the milkweed since the first day of school. The children love to see the changes right before their eyes. This week they saw not one but TWO caterpillars make their chrysalis. Most people do not see that in a lifetime and we saw it twice in a week! The kids are so excited.
