The focus of our Preschool program is to introduce academic concepts with an emphasis on language development. Children master these concepts in our learning centers through hands-on learning, play, games, songs and movement. In this way, children are exposed to the “fun and excitement” of learning. Because social interactions are such an important aspect of your child’s development at this age, we use many aspects of Responsive Classroom to encourage socially appropriate behavior. Parents are kept up to date on their child’s individual progress on a regular basis. See our typical daily Preschool schedule for more specifics.
EXTENDED DAY
Mrs Hooper - Extended Program Teacher
Each program has an extended care option. This multi-age enrichment program is offered to all classes and the basis is friendship and fun. From playing classical games to reading to singing and dancing to arts and crafts, the children do it all after their morning programs and they love every minute of it.
If you would like to know more about the Extended Day program that is offered to our students, ask your child’s teacher or come right into the Kindergarten room and we can answer any questions you may have.
